1. Download & save the price update. Do this by clicking on the number, in the left-most column of the list above, corresponding to the price update you wish to receive.

    This action will download a compressed file of the price update into your computer. You will have to assign a location for it on your hard drive. We recommend your \qplusii\western directory located on your c: drive (If you are using a network the price book directory might reside on another drive).

    Write down the name that the file has been saved without the .exe extension. eg. If the file name saved was qpab0016.exe you would write down qpab0016.

    Then run the decompress and install process as defined in the next paragraph.

  2. Once the compressed price update file is downloaded and saved on your hard drive, go to the directory to which you saved the price update file and double-click on it.

    This will decompress the price update text file. Click on the 'x' in the upper right corner of the window that appears to close it.

  3. Start the QPlus II program and select the EMCO Catalog tab.
    • Click on Catalog Utils
    • Click on Catalog Update
    • Click on the button labelled '...'

      Find the directory (in the folders box) where price update was stored and single click on the file name (in the file name box) that you wrote down above with a .txt extension. In the example case it would be qpab0016.txt. Click on the OK button to accept that file.

    • The book and filename fields should now be filled in. Click on the OK button to start the price update.
    • When the price update is finished, you will be asked to recalculate the costs based on your discount and net price settings. Click on Yes.
    • Click on the Update Costs button. When it is finished, click on the Donebutton.
    • Click on the Done button.
